I am not very good with "asynchronous" (sp?) online class meetings. If I am not required to do something at a specific time and place, I tend to forget about it because I have so much going on with teaching full time, taking four classes in the evenings, and being pregnant with all of my doctor's appointments!
I do see how meeting online can be useful, and I enjoy reading others postings even if I participate a little late. I really enjoyed the online class that was "synchronous." I am nervous about the webpage we started creating because I have never used this specific program before and honestly will not use it after this class. The formatting and requirements (things I have to remember) are way too complex. I like Frontpage. SIMPLE. I will create webpages for my teaching career and use the ideas and tools presented in this class, but not using the webpage software we are using.

    Hi Kristina,

It sounds like you have way too many classes going in addition to your other responsibilities!

Thanks for sharing your joys and frustrations. You can use Frontpage to create your web pages for this class. I don't care which software you use as long as you can create the pages.

Mostly, I'm concerned about the quality of the inquiry-based (or problem-based) activities that everyone is creating. The web page is the delivery medium for the activity. While it needs to look clean, it doesn't have to look flashy.

HHMMM, well, the problem is that I learned how to use Frontpage in my last class but haven't practiced much. I really need someone to hold my hand no matter what program I am using. I just remember that FrontPage was a little faster moving. I really do feel like the old woman in class that has never even learned how to use e-mail. Some of the questions I hear coming out of my own mouth shock me.
