I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! (Better than mine anyway- I was stuck in the hospital AGAIN hooked up to an IV because I had been so sick the day before from the flu. Just to put this in perspective, I am one of the healthiest people you will ever meet. Before getting pregnant, I was usually sick one day per year and never missed work or school.)

One of my EDCI classes met as an elluminate class on Monday, and it was GREAT!! Although the professor did not have as much experience holding an online class, the kinks were ironed out after a while and our next class has been scheduled as an elluminate class as well. I have heard of an online high school or something similar in the state of Georgia and was wondering if anyone had any information on this. I can see many benefits to this type of high school teaching. I have taught two years of high school social studies, one year of middle school social studies, and two years of middle school special education. I wonder how students get signed up for these courses and what is involved. Also, do these classes replace attending a traditional high school completely? Any information would be appreciated!

Crystal, Thanks for responding! I would really be interested in teaching one of these courses. I wonder if you run the classes from home or from the county office if it is your major assignment??
